How to Get a Free Car if You Are Disabled

7

A car can be difficult to get for people with disabilities. It needs money to purchase one, and if you already disabled for quite a long time, or you live on average fixed income, you possibly don’t have the money to spend. But anyway, there are some way for you to get a donated car.

Action 1 : In case anyone asks, prepare your proof of disability

Action 2 : Describe the reason you require a car. The reason can be taking children to school, driving to doctor’s appointments, especially if public transportation is inconvenient, tell them why and how. People will tend to like that they make some difference in your life, in case  you are ready to show people how much you really need a car.

Action 3 : Talk to local churches. Start here in case you are already a member of one, or ever was. Then go to churches in your area and approach them. Churches are typical of non-profit organizations, meaning that a donor can get a write off on their tax return of somebody donates a car to them (at least in the U.S). There is a possibility that one of their members will donate a car for you if they understand your circumstance.

Action 4 : Contact organizations that focus on your particular disability and see if they can help. Try to speak to several differ people to make sure (by not being disrespectful to the first person you spoke to), in case the person you talk to is not aware of any available programs. You can also visit their website. They might have a payment program with little or no interest, or even a low cost program if it is not free.

Action 5 : Talk to auto mechanics. The auto mechanics might come across a car that can be repaired for a low cost and that could fit your requirements since they know the ways to fix vehicles.  Maybe a generous person or a church will defray for the fixing for you, or they could also provide you a loan with no or little interest. Or, somebody may have a used car that they don`t even want some money to spend on repairing them, but it owns crucial value for them. For a discounted price, you may attempts to make sure a mechanic to fix it for you.

Action 6 : Learn How to Network. You will get better chance that someone will empathize with your plight and find a way to help you with the more people you have connection to. If you` re not typical of naturally sociable person, this could feel a bit strange for you, but it is beneficial, and even required, to get out from your zone of comfort. And you have to overcome certain kind of feelings in case you have any feelings of pride or shame that obtain in the way of requesting for assistance. There is no shame in requesting for assistance by the time you really need it because everybody requires help sometimes.

Action 7 : For your advantage, try to use social networking. Through the Internet, you probably have the ability to reach out to more people if you often do networking in person. Make your own accounts on Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace. And share your efforts and struggles.

Action 8 : Rethink if you really need a car or not
